We have been working in Nepal to deliver transformational results continuously for more than a decade.
Over the last year we have been implementing a range of project interventions to mitigate the effects of the earthquakes and support reconstruction efforts. We are planning to expand this work under new long-term reconstruction programmes and are interested in hearing from experienced professionals who are interested in being part of our teams for this work. Areas of focus for the work are likely to include:
- Rural community infrastructure planning and development
- Supporting central & local government agencies to plan, coordinate & oversee reconstruction work
- Reaching marginalised groups to ensure that they benefit from reconstruction efforts
- Private sector development
- Work to capture lessons and influence policy
We are interested in hearing from appropriately qualified candidates to fill a full time Team Leader role and also either full or part-time senior strategic direction adviser roles. For both, we seek candidates with:
- Experience managing large development programmes in relevant technical areas and working effectively with development partners
- Proven leadership track record
- Evidence of effective work to bring a broad range of diverse stakeholders together
- Experience providing strategic direction to community development work
- Good understanding of the challenges faced in Nepal’s earthquake affected districts
